at an incredible place at Panama´s Pacific coast:

Santa Catalina

Sta. Catalina was discovered in the 1980s by international and national surf fanatics who laid the base for a simple
tourist infrastructure. For years the small fishing village at Panama´s Pacific coast was a secret between surfers and
offered only rustic accommodations. In 2003 opened the first land based dive center – Scuba Coiba – in Sta. Catalina
and made diving at Coiba National Park for the first time possible. The growth of the diving business required the
development of more comfortable accommodations. More information about Sta. Catalina at the excellent website
